My <a href=\"https:\/\/uakron.hosted.panopto.com\/Panopto\/Pages\/Sessions\/List.aspx#folderID=%2251ed2659-ae47-4459-b06f-aab1014d4c26%22\"><em>Corrections Close Up<\/em> podcast<\/a> contains 17 mini-interviews with criminal justice professionals. The podcast project <a href=\"https:\/\/why-sociology.simplecast.com\/episodes\"><em>Why Sociology?<\/em><\/a> I created wth Dr. Angela Adkins and it consists of eight episodes of interviews with Sociology graduates in applied career fields. My first attempt in \u201cUngrading\u201d takes the focus from point values and grades and emphasizes deep learning instead. The class was built on self-assessment, peer review and my extensive regular individual feedback to \u201cnegotiate\u201d a final grade (<a href=\"https:\/\/danielajauk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Syllabus-Gender-Sex-Sexualities-Spring-2023.pdf\">Syllabus Gender Sex Sexualities Spring 2023<\/a>). Students enjoyed opportunities to develop job-related skills by organizing a campus <em>Rethinking Race<\/em> event. The student-led event was held on March 9, 2023, featuring award-winning trans-activist and artist LuSter P. Singleton. The recording of that event is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GCtx7ZQlrJc&amp;ab_channel=BuchtelCollegeofArts%26Sciences\">available on the BCAS YouTube channel<\/a>, and functions as a concrete work product students can include on their resumes.
